Funwheel Controller Box Complete

Hands down the best controller you can get. Smooth, powerful and I have not been able to over heat this thing. The LED module works perfect. Could not be happier with anything else. Very well built and just amazing. Great job fungineers!

So I ordered two of these. The original one that I purchased was a red CNC box with the Thor300. The box was professionally made and looks great. The Thor300 that comes with it is one of if not the best controller on the market. It has plenty of room for a split pack if you decide to go that rout too. I had two issues with mine though. First one was I had a flexible front footpad initially and that cause the controller box lid to crack and break in multiple spots. So do not get a flexible footpad if buying this box. I would like to see Fungi develop a lid that is stronger but still allows you to see the status bar. The 2nd issue was the back of my front light bar was somehow hitting the inside of my box. It rubbed to the point that it started to almost weld the one corner. I ended up putting stuff in between the handle indention and the front light bar to keep it from touching which solved the issue. I ended up buying a 2nd cast box from Fungi for two reasons. Fungi addressed both issues fast with me and sent me replacement parts. And because they just work so good. The second box had not had the issue with the light bar and I have their front footpad so I haven't had the issue with the lid cracking (yet). If I was able to give this a 4.8 star rating that is what they would get because of how the resolved the issues. But they do need to figure out a better lid for future boxes. I would also suggest saving your money and going with the cast box, unless you have rails where you can actually see the awesome CNC boxes. Hope this helps you guys.

This controller box and board setup are in my opinion the best options on the market. The lights are to be seen only, they don’t project much light if at all. You’ll need a headlamp if you want to ride it at night.

I almost had buy another because when the purple anodized version showed up, I nearly framed it and hung it on the wall. It’s a stunning piece of art! But it’s now well protected in my X7 build and it is making me smile every time I jump on my board. The setup isn’t for the faint of heart or my I was just nervous or excited or a combination. The setup video moves a little fast so be prepared to pause and rewind to ensure you catch everything. The good news is that if you follow it exactly, the board will operate perfectly and the satisfaction will just be beginning.

Everything about this VESC solution (better lights are coming soon) is PERFECT! Coming from an XR, this has made my riding experience so much more fun and as I am not battling pushback constantly, I get to enjoy my ride at my pace with plenty of headroom to spare. I honestly believe this is so much safer. I can hit 25mph if I want to with so much headroom it’s ridiculous, thus no pushback, no speed wobbles, no stress.

If you are coming from another board, it does feel a little weird when you first jump onto it, but play around with the tune settings in Float Control as Surfdado advises and you will pretty quickly have the perfect board. At first I tried to make it feel like my XR, but over the course of my first 100 miles, I have deviated into a tune with ATR that makes the board literally stick to my feet in the most natural way possible. I love it. Then when I hit the trail, I can quickly adjust it and the board melts into the terrain.
