The SuperFlux MkII (HT and HS versions)

What makes Superflux the best Funwheel aka single-wheeled-balance-board motor in the world?

SKF Bearings (for real this time):

For almost a year, we battled with vendors providing us FAKE SKF bearings which we refused to put in out original Superflux. Now, we are finally able to provide the Best motor in the world with the best bearings in the world. Our bearings are 100% genuine and verifiable through the SKF app on your phone!

These bearings cost >$200 a set in most countries, and we will be including it on the Superflux with almost no cost increase to the overall motor.

The Thunder Tire!

Yes, the new Thunder 11.5 inch tire is what all motors will ship with the new thunder tire, which will be a medium-soft compound to tackle both streets and trails. Best of both worlds!

Plug-in single connector:

We now have a single plug-in locking proprietary connector with 4mm bullet connectors and a 6 pin hall connector; the only one of its kind in existence. This connector will make the Superflux more accessible to a wider crowd, and easier to build Funwheels,  do swaps and tire changes!

Improved axle block:

We got rid of the original FM style axle block and improved the thermals and the looks of it.

Performance:

Superflux now comes in two performance versions: High Torque and High Speed.

The HS version is the same kv as the original Superflux MKI, which means it is geared towards people looking to make a racing board, but will also provide VERY high torque compared to other motors in the market. Perfect for people needing insane speeds and with boards with batteries from 15S to20S.

The HT version is geared towards higher voltage builds (20S and more) and folks wanting a torquier, more responsive, more punchy motor, greater acceleration from standstill and more efficient in hill climbs and tough situations. The HT version can also be made faster than a OW GT, if you have a good 18S P45 battery or a 20S P28A battery, simply by setting Field weakening to 30A or 40A (please do not exceed and use with caution).

Please watch this video to decide which is right for you: HT vs. HS motor..

History

The original SuperFlux defied all odds and exceeded all expectations. The Superflux Mk 2 is here to, believe it or nor, be better than its predecessor.

Here's The original superflux in action:

Specs

Power:

>2000W (honestly, folks push it to 4000+W).

Speed:

HS Version:

Top speed ~ 40 mph or 65 km/h! (can achieve freespin of more than 100km/h with field weakening).

HT Version:

Top speed ~ 20+ mph or 55+ km/h! (can achieve freespin of more than 80km/h with field weakening).

Torque:

HS version

50Nm+ (more than you will ever need).

HT version

80Nm+ (Insane torque).

The SF wheel is made to give you the greatest torque and top speed that is possible from a 6 inch wheel.

These are real world numbers and not exaggerated confusing HP numbers.

Size:

115mmx90mm stator (biggest ever).

Compatibility:

Remie and I have designed the SuperFlux motor to be compatible with the original Funwheel Kit, the new Thunder kit and the OW XR Rails and Frame.

Adapter Blocks and bolts ship with the motor.

Smiles per Mile!!! Get Yours Now!!!

I have about 100 miles on my new SuperFlux HS in a Funwheel X7 build coming from an XR and I am completely blown away with how much power this motor has to offer. I am able to tear up hills and ride trails like never before. Having the power to brake quickly without tail drag is awesome. The best part is that if I want to go 25mph, I have an abundance of headroom, which means I’m not constantly battling pushback, I never worry about speed wobbles now, and I have can trust that my board will do exactly what I ask of it. I have 5,000 miles on my XR and within the first 100 miles on my X7, I absolutely feel more confident on the X7 already.

The SuperFlux is also deadly silent, so much quieter than my Hypercore on my XR, which I was not expecting. The Thunder tire felt a little off at first, coming from and Enduro. The edges are a somewhat stiff, but seem to be breaking in. At 150lbs, I ride my Enduro tire between 14-16lbs of pressure. I dropped my Thunder tire to 12lbs, which feels pretty good, but I may drop another pound or two to see if that feels even better.

HT or HS? I really want an HT, because I ride in mountains and hills every chance I get. I also love the idea of having crazy braking power. On trails, I’m rarely hitting 20mph. On street, I’d rather have the torque. That being said, with my 150lb frame, the HS motor has loads more torque than Hypercore and I am crushing hills far better than before. The ability to do 25mph+ without even coming close to pushback is epic! If I only had one board, I think I would stick with the HS… UNLESS I had the opportunity to build something higher voltage than the 84volts. If I was doing a 24s build where I could still get the advantage of speed from an HT, I would obviously choose the HT.

Scary fast

I don't see how anyone could need more motor than this. 30+ mph is terrifying on these boards. Even with burris btg, I cannot stall this thing given nose has clearance.. it's a monster

It doesn't come with the mating connector.

I was a little annoyed when it didn't come with the connector, and I wasn't going to wait for it to install the motor. I would have gladly paid more and ordered it with the motor if it meant I didn't have to make my own connector. It should say that somewhere in the product description.

The width of the axle is slightly wider than my stock xr motor. I had to bend the rails to get the screws to line up.

It seems to have a little more torque than the stock motor. I think I would prefer the HT version if it was in stock. I haven't had the chance to give it a good speed test yet.

Funwheel Complete Kit

Coming from a stock XR, I have to say this board is amazing. It’s as nimble as my old XR, but far more sure footed. Pulls like you have been gifted a Superpower, the sheer amount of go is astounding. Hills and trails I used to think were beyond what I was capable of, are now just dust in my wake. If you were on the fence and unsure, please just get one.

Will change your life, and the way you ride.

I am 100% in love, my poor old XR won’t get a look in now, well till I upgrade her to 😂🤙
