High Voltage Charger - 134V/ 32S 7A

Description

A 32S (134V) 7A charger that comes with a GX-16 4 pin Charge port. Built for our High Voltage 32S Board, and High Voltage 32S Powertrain.

The GX-16 charge port plugs directly into the Thor400 complete controller box charge port, so yes, it will work even if you are only buying a HV Controller box and HV charger from us, and getting a 32S/ 134V battery locally made. 

Design 

Accepts input AC voltages of 100-240V (so works with all standard wall outlets worldwide), and outputs 134V for a 32S battery only. The charger comes with built in safety protections, Over voltage, Overcurrent, and short circuit, and has state-of-the art charging mechanism with CV and CC charging automatically toggled as per the condition and stages of charging.

Charging current of 7A was chosen as this is a great compromise between Fast charging and slow charging for P45B and P50B cells, while keeping in mind safety, heat generation and other applicable factors. Molicel, the cell manufacturer, recommends safe charging limits of 4.5A -13A for P45B and 5-15A for P50B. 7A seems to be closer to the slower and safer limit, while also being considerable fast. 

Safety

The charger is designed with a safety-first principle. The charger is FCC and CSA certified, and conforms to UL standards. This charger also conforms to ETL North American safety standards.

Warnings

This charger ONLY works with a 32S, 134V, LI-ion battery. This charger is designed to work best with a Fungineers High Voltage Powertrain or the high Voltage (Supercharged) complete board. Please do NOT use this charger with a 20S/ 84V/ Thor300/ Thor301 build. 

Polarity

Pin 1 and 4 are Positive and Pin 2 and 3 are Negative. 

Corresponding female side should also have pins 1 and 4 positive and 2 and 3 negative. this is already correctly installed in the Thor400 Complete controller box and our HV Powertrain. 

Important recommendations for your safety 

Recommended to be used with Fungineers VESC BMS and Fungineers 32S Battery pack Only/ Fungineers High Voltage Powertrain only (doesn't work with the Long range 20S Powertrain).

Please do not use on XR batteries/ GT batteries/ GTS Batteries, or any Non-32S LI-ion batteries. 

Please don't use with older batteries that cannot handle 7A charging. Recommended for Molicel P45B and P50B. 

Charger comes with a standard 3 pin American plug (please see pictures). An adapter might be required for EU / Rest of the world so please be prepared :)
