Thunder Tire

We definitely need a 6 inch BTG and 5 inch BTG version 😎

After migrating to VESC platforms and extensive SF riding, I think this might be my favorite tire.

For for my style of high speed street riding with a small mix of dirt trails and paths, I really enjoyed the first ~600 miles of my X7 SC ripping this tire to the core. Swapping onto a few of the Float Life tires while I wait for a new Thunder to come in really showed me how stable and performant this tire is at high speeds vs. others. With the power of my high voltage VESC boards (like my X7 SC), I find myself riding at much higher speeds; tires that feel good at 20 do not always feel nice at 30 mph. This tire is one of the few that can really handle these next generation of boards. Some of the Burris options like FF2 are pretty nice but they are actually too soft for my liking.

Hi, I have done a review of the 6" tire as I wrote earlier, it is in my top 3 tires. But a huge wish from here is that there was a 5" version of this tire🙏 there are very few tires that are good and stable for a 5" motor, currently I ride the FF Goat 5" which is a 💩= tire to drive fast on, I have tried 5" tires from floatlife and honestly their Pioneer tires are a bit of crap to drive on. We need a good tire for mixed riding where you can drive fast without shitting your pants 🫣.

In fact, it is one of the best tires I have ridden on the onewheels I have built, I have tried a lot of tires in my 5 years on onewheel/vesc, this tire outperforms many other very expensive tires, and if it hadn't been for this small quality problem, it would have been my number 1 tire. I have bought 3 motors where this tire was mounted from the start, and then I bought a loose one, but there is a difference in the tires, some are a little bigger than others, and then the profile is different from tire to tire, and then there are some tires that bump while driving, if those things were more uniform then in my opinion it would be the best onewheel tire ever made. The tire is super fun to ride, it's soft but not too soft, and it's great for high speed, it's great for carving, and it has a cool party trick, you can make it scream loudly when braking quickly on asphalt, and scream when doing wheelspin😋 so if the small differences were uniform it would be the perfect tire🥰

Surprisingly great tire. Great on both trails and pavements. Better than many $100+ options. I’d totally keep it on my SF HT if I didn’t need a BTG type.
