The Legacy of the X7 Long Range
The X7 Long Range was developed for you folks with range anxiety. While the standard X7 could do 25 miles range, which is awesome for a board that is in the form factor of the original XR, we thought how we could push the envelope and do the impossible. It took 2 long years, first we developed a controller box that could house a powerful controller (Thor301), AND have enough space to house another small battery pack in front, AND also have a full size handle; next, making sure the Battery packs are safely built, securely housed, and most importantly, have a reliable, smart BMS that can monitor the cells on the go, and provide critical safety feedback while charging, riding, or otherwise. The current BMS just didn't cut it, so we spent a year and worked with Benjamin Vedder (the V in VESC) and team to develop the first and official VESC BMS for single-wheeled PEVs. After testing and shipping in small batches to early adopters, YOU can now finally be part of the legacy. A board that can do it all. XR feel, GTS+ Power, 40 miles range!, VESC BMS for safety. Warranty
Our products have delivered exceptional performance in the toughest of terrains. Be it World Speed records with the Superflux, or Thors being run with the best riders in the US and European Onewheel League races. Therefore, we know our products are extremely reliable and robust, and we stand by our products. Users will have a 1 year repair or replace warranty for the Superflux, The Thor VESC, and the Battery! (except in cases of user error).
In addition, you have the right-to-repair, upgrade and complete support from our team to modify in the future. We mean it when we say, the board is YOURS.

Still on first charge. 35 miles still have 37% battery left.
I bought my first Onewheel in 2015 and, since then, I’ve owned every single board Future Motion has produced (okay… except the Pint X). So yeah, you could say I’ve been pretty deep in the Onewheel rabbit hole for a while.
First off, huge love for Onewheels and the community. Some of the best people and best rides of my life have come from this sport. But I’ll be honest… there has also been HUGE frustration with Future Motion over the years. Anyone who’s been around long enough probably knows exactly what I’m talking about.
Meanwhile, in the background, I’ve always been intrigued by the VESC world. More power, more control, more freedom. But also… more menus, more settings, and a slight feeling that I might accidentally turn my board into a small electrical fire if I pressed the wrong button. So I admired from a distance.
Then came the Fungineers X7 Long Range.
A complete board, ready to ride, right out of the box, basically designed for people like me who are curious about VESC but also slightly terrified of the VESC tool.
And let me tell you…
The X7 calmed everything.
This board feels like the perfect blend of the XRC and the XL in terms of power and agility. It’s punchy when you want it, smooth when you don’t, and incredibly confidence-inspiring under your feet.
But the real kicker?
About 25-30% more range.
Suddenly those “maybe I should head home” moments turn into “eh… let’s see what’s over that hill.”
The ride feel is dialed. The torque is there when you ask for it. The stability is fantastic. And the overall experience just feels… refined.
Honestly, the only thing missing for someone like me is a “VESC for Dummies” user guide. Not because the board is hard to ride, it’s absolutely not…. but because I know there’s a whole world of customization in there and I’m still cautiously poking around like a caveman discovering fire.
One downside. The X7 LED lights are terrible! I saw they are coming out with or have brighter one available but have not seen them.
Other than that?
All I have to say is…
WOW.
The X7 Long Range might be the board that finally bridges the gap for riders like me — longtime Onewheel fans who love the ride, love the community, but have been waiting for something more open, more powerful, and more rider-friendly.

Funwheel X7 Long Range
The X7 is an amazing board. So much power and so smooth. 20-24 mph feels like you are flying so fast. The vesc apps are very detailed. Hoping to learn how to really tweak the board to a perfect feel for my style. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.
Board came with I think a bad front footpad sensor. The board rides away by itself when you get off it. Also the charger plug had stripped out threads on it. Other than that this thing is great!
